Today's ETF Heat Map shows a greater number of markets reaching the ML1 structure than the MS1 structure, while a significant portion of the ETF universe opened outside the boundaries required to establish valid intraday levels.

STRUCTURAL COVERAGE
27 of 67 ETFs (40.3%) opened outside the boundaries required for valid IDMM level construction.

These markets are not assigned intraday structural levels when the opening price falls outside the qualifying boundaries.
MIDDAY OBSERVATIONS
Although 14 ETFs have reached ML1, only 2 remain at or above that level. However, 12 of the 14 remain at or above their opening prices.
On the MS side, 4 of the 5 ETFs that reached MS1 remain at or below that level.
Several ETFs have also extended beyond their initial structural levels, including XLP on the ML side and XLV on the MS side.
The distinction between reaching a structural level, maintaining that level, and remaining on the corresponding side of the Open is central to the IDMM research methodology.
